Will writing is not a reserved legal activity in England and Wales. Someone can decide tomorrow that they write wills, and start, with no training and nothing for a client to check. Most people in this industry are careful and competent. The problem is that a client has no way of telling which ones.
So we built a free, straightforward way to prove competence, and a public register anyone can search. No gimmicks, no annual fee, no modules to buy. Training, a test, and a badge that means something because it can be checked.

Is the training really free?
Yes. The training is free, the exam is free, and the accreditation is free. There are no hidden costs and nothing is upsold at the end of it.
What does the exam cover?
Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and professional client care. It is written to confirm you can serve clients safely and competently, not to catch you out.
Do I need to pay annual fees or complete CPD?
No. Once accredited, you are accredited. We publish updates when law or practice changes and expect members to keep up with them, but there is no CPD log and no renewal invoice.
What if I'm already qualified elsewhere?
Take the exam anyway — it is free and it takes an afternoon. Existing qualifications usually mean you will find it straightforward, and it adds a public listing your clients can check.
Is will writing regulated in the UK?
Not as a reserved legal activity in England and Wales. Anyone may offer will writing without training or qualification. That is exactly why a verifiable accreditation is worth having.
